The 179th Fighter-Interceptor Squadron in Duluth, MN flew F-101Bs from 1972 to 1976, when it converted to RF-4C Phantoms. This F-101B flew as an electronic warefare target in Canada until 1987. A Canadian pilot flew this aircraft to Minneapolis and performed an impromptu air-show before landing, to the delight of museum volunteers. The air-traffic control folks were not as excited about it as us.
